LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS: INJURIES, SUSPENSIONS AND LINE-UP VS BRIGHTON

Everything you need to know ahead of the Premier League clash at the Amex on Saturday afternoon
Liverpool will head into their first league meeting with Brighton since March 1983 with the intention of starting the manic month of December as they ended November – with an away victory.
Mohamed Salah came off the bench to score twice in a 3-0 win at Stoke City on Wednesday, with Jurgen Klopp’s side suffering defeat in just one of the last 10 Premier League fixtures.
They will want to extend that statistic on Saturday and continue looking upwards with Arsenal and Chelsea in touching distance as they seek to close the gap on the Manchester clubs.

LIVERPOOL INJURIES

Adam Lallana was not included in the matchday squad at Stoke having suffered a slight knock and is unlikely to be involved on the weekend.
“It’s a minor muscle thing, nothing really serious but he needs a few days to recover from that and then he’s back in training and then in the squad,” Klopp explained.
Ragnar Klavan was also excluded from the 18 due to illness, but he should be back in contention against Brighton.
Fellow centre-back Joel Matip, however, is ruled out. “After the game he had a problem, he felt something muscle-wise,” the manager revealed.
“We have to make the final assessment, but it doesn’t look like he is available for tomorrow. That’s pretty much all.
“Klavan was ill but hopefully he is not anymore, especially when you think about Joel Matip’s situation. It’s not that we have a big choice to make in defence, so that’s the situation.
“We had a few knocks how it is after a game, and it is the shorter part of the week with Wednesday and Saturday. Not a long time to recover from different things. Final decisions will be made after the session at three o’clock.”
Nathaniel Clyne remains a long-term absentee with a back injury.
LIVERPOOL SUSPENSIONS

Neither club have any suspension concerns for this game, but Emre Can is one caution away from a ban for the visitors, with Shane Duffy and Glenn Murray in the same danger for Brighton.

LIVERPOOL POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP

Klopp will continue to rotate during a stacked schedule as he looks to “bring the quality we have on the pitch with freshness. In this period you still need to have intensity in your game and you can have intensity every three days if you make the change, and that’s why we do it.”
Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah were named as substitutes against Stoke and are likely to be restored to the XI.
Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold will hope to fill the full-back positions with the impressive pair of Alberto Moreno and Joe Gomez due a rest.
The latter could fill in at the heart of defence should Klavan not be passed fit and with Matip missing.
